Low Leaf - “smthng abt you”
Live in Belfast, Ireland
Equipped with a Paraguayan harp, Los Angeles creator(diy) Low Leaf performs the smooth love song “smthng abt you” off her latest release, Alchemizing Dawn EP during one of her recent European tour stops in Belfast, Ireland.
Storee - Hidden Power
You may remember the behind the scenes from this video being posted a few weeks ago. Baltimore representative Storee dropped off this visual for “Hidden Power” last week, and it was very well shot. I actually liked the song more than the video (which is rare). Storee has a very strong delivery and unique lyrical ability that is vastly different than other members of his generation of Baltimore MCs. Definitely give this video a play.

Kitty - “Florida” (Live @ Cosmic Zoo Studios)
Soft-spoken artist Kitty has received some really polarized reactions from the hip hop world since her debut due to her vocal delivery and teenage white-girl appearance, but this new track, “Florida” (prod. Hot Sugar) has the right amount of dope flows over a lush beat. Peep how in-the-pocket she is when landing on the snares. This live performance was filmed for Intuition’s new podcast series, Kinda Neat filmed at Nocando and Daddy Kev’s Cosmic Zoo Studios in Los Angeles.
Jowin - “Cosplay Girl Rebloom” (Starring Kana Katana)
The remixed sequel to Jowin’s acclaimed single “Cosplay Girl” gets a proper visual starring the newest cast member of his Weekend Cartunes YouTube channel, cosplayer Kana Katana. Plue Starfox’s buttery-smooth beat and the video’s depiction of a photoshoot/date provides a great backdrop for Jowin’s tale of self-identity and escapism. The Cowboy Bebop-influenced animations during the choruses also add a nice touch. Jowin’s Project: Rebloom EP is out now.
Butch Dawson - Irongrip (Video)
Rapper/Producer Butch Dawson, from the Baltimore collective Lost Leaders 7th Floor Villains (LL7FV) dropped off this visual for his track Irongrip today. Shot locally in Baltimore, the video is a posse cut video, featuring various members of LL7FV and CCL$ members throughout the video. Irongrip also features a guest verse from fellow Baltimore MC Palmtree Tony. Word to making in rain in Pokemon cards, very rare.
Common Enemies - Air Tuff TV (Episode 1)
Baltimore collective Common Enemies recently started up a web series called Air Tuff TV, that they will host on their Vimeo page. These short videos will detail behind-the-scenes footage, life and the antics that go on throughout these artist’s lives. This first episode is the behind the scenes of CE artist Storee’s soon to be released music video.
Zeroh - “Coves & Caves”
Dir. David M. Helman
Los Angeles artist Zeroh dives into a deeper experimental realm than his previous project, tape with this new track “Coves & Caves”. Enhanced with the distinct animation stylings of RUFFMERCY (as seen on the music videos for Blu’s “Doinnothin”, ScHoolboy Q’s “There He Go” and many more), a simple video of hanging out and doing acrobatics with skater homies turns into a dark visual trip. Shout outs to the homegirl Low Leaf and LA beat scene veteran Ras G on the cameos.
OG Dutch Master - DIMEZ
Since I’ve been in the Baltimore area for school, I’ve been frequently exploring the Baltimore hip-hop scene. There are a lot of intriguing artists out here, and one of my favorites would have to be OG Dutch Master. The Baltimore MC has been buzzing as of late, with the release of his mixtapes Art of War and 3.5 Gramz (both can be found here), and he just dropped this visual for his song DIMEZ a few days ago. It is a simple video, but it really matches the tone of the song, which deals with a lot of serious matters in Dutch’s life currently. The video was shot by the talented Chad Wilkerson as well.
